Women's basketball announces golf scramble on Sept. 12

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois women's basketball program will hold a golf scramble on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Jackson County Country Club. The event, sponsored by Shores Builders, will be in conjunction with the SIU women's basketball alumni weekend and will include past and current members of the Saluki women's basketball family.
Lunch will be served at 11:45 at the country club, and golf starts at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The outing costs $80 per person or $320 for a group of four. A portion of the registration cost can be tax deductible. Hole and cart sponsorships are also available for $100 and $50, respectively, all of which is tax deductible.
The entry deadline for the scramble is Sept. 5, 2014, and participants will receive lunch, green fees, a golf court, on-course beverages and a gift. The scramble will feature team and individual prizes, along with a raffle and on-course games. All proceeds go directly to the women's basketball program. The funds will continue to provide opportunities for student-athletes to succeed in the classroom and on the court.
