Iannotti is the third SIU player to earn weekly honors from the MVFC this year. After the Sept. 6 38-21 win at No. 14 Eastern Illinois, Tyler Williamson earned MVFC Defensive Player of the Week honors and Thomas Kinney earned Special Teams Player of the Week.
Indiana State's Mike Perish was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week after throwing for 317 yards and three TDs in the Sycamores' upset win over FBS Ball State. Illinois State's Pat Meehan earned Defensive Player of the Week after posting two sacks, four tackles for loss and an interception against Eastern Illinois. Missouri State's Chris Sullens earned the Special Teams Player of the Week nod after five of his six punts were downed inside the 20 in a shutout win over North Dakota.
