Ehrenheim selected as MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week

ST. LOUIS - Southern Illinois men's cross country runner Evan Ehrenheim was selected as the Missouri Valley Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the Valley announced on Thursday.

Ehrenheim had a strong performance at the Saluki Early Bird, earning a top-10 finish and helping his team to a win over Indiana State. His time of 12:26.72 over the 4K course was a new personal best, easily besting his previous best by nearly 10 seconds. The senior was an integral part in helping the Salukis begin the season with a win. Ehrenheim maintains a 3.95 grade-point average, while majoring in computer engineering.

The Salukis are back in action on Sept. 20, as they host the Saluki Invitational. The meet is set for a 10 a.m. start.
