Volleyball announces 2015 summer camp dates

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University volleyball team has announced dates for its 2015 summer camps.
The Salukis will hold a series of clinics and camps in June and July for junior high and high school aged participants, along with a Little Dawgs Clinic for elementary school children. Specialized skill clinics and overnight camp opportunities will be available.
The staff is also offering satellite camps during the summer. Satellite camps are designed based on the needs of each team and can provide skill training, positional training and team system training.

Little Dawgs Clinic
June 6, 2015
Half-day clinic open to any and all players entering Kindergarten through those entering 5th grade. This clinic is designed for all positions and teaches all the fundamental skills of volleyball in the Saluki way! Players will maximize repetitions through fun drill work and entertaining games.
Cost: $40
Junior High Skills Clinic
June 6, 2015
One-day clinic open to any and all players entering 5th grade through those entering 8th grade. This clinic is designed for all positions and teaches all the fundamental skills of volleyball in the Saluki way! Players will maximize repetitions through fun drill work and challenging games.
Cost: $75
Offense Clinic
June 13, 2015
One-day clinic open to any and all players entering 6th grade through 12th grade. This specialty clinic is designed for setters and hitters (OH/MH/RS) to learn position specific techniques relating to offense. The clinic will focus on attacking techniques, footwork, and developing shots for hitters while setters learn setting techniques, tempo, and set location.
Cost: $75
Defense Clinic
June 14, 2015 Open to any and all players entering 6th grade through 12th grade. This specialty clinic is designed to improve ball control skills and individual defense. The clinic will cover serve receive and defense techniques for back row players (L/DS/S) as well as blocking and defense for front row players (OH/MH/RS/S).

Offense and Defense Clinic Special
June 13-14, 2015 This summer we are offering a weekend special if you attend both the Offense and Defense Clinics on June 13th and 14th. This special is only good for these two clinics.
Cost: $140
High School Camp
July 11-12, 2015 For any and all girls ages 14-18, open to all skill levels and positions, this camp provides technical and tactical training for those looking to maximize their volleyball potential. Campers will receive outstanding instruction to improve their knowledge and skill in all aspects of the game. In addition to working on all skills, campers will also compete in team competitions.
Cost: $270 (Overnight) $225 (Commuter)
Junior High Camp
July 13-14, 2015 For any and all girls entering 6th grade through those entering 8th grade, this camp provides enthusiastic teaching of fundamental skills and teamwork. Campers will learn and improve basic skills, be introduced to advanced techniques, while also learning to work within a team environment.
Cost: $270 (Overnight) / $225 (Commuter)
Team Camp
July 18-19, 2015 Open to any and all middle school and high school teams, this camp pro-vides the opportunity for teams to receive instruction in skill and system training as well as competition against other teams. It is a great way for teams and coaches to prepare for the upcoming season! The first session of each day will consist of on-court training, followed by sessions of pool and championship bracket style play. Mini-clinics in team building, strength and conditioning, and a coach's forum will all be available. Coaches are welcomed and encouraged to come with their team. A minimum number of 8 players per team is required.
Cost: $150 (Overnight) $105 (Commuter)
