The Southern Illinois University men's golf team stands in 14th place out of 15 teams after two rounds at the Boilermaker Invitational.
The Salukis trail No. 4-ranked Illinois, which is leading the pack at 32-under par, by 49 strokes. SIU had the highest team score of the field with a 301 in the first round, but bounced back with a 294 in the second round.
Wade Thompson remains SIU's most consistent golfer. He shot an even par in round one and a 74 in the second round to stand 2-over par and tied for 28th place.
The teams will play a final round on Sunday.
