SIU's Price competes at IAAF World Championships

BEIJING, China - Southern Illinois senior DeAnna Price wrapped up hammer throw competition at the 15th IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China. Price, a Moscow Mills, Mo. native, finished 10th in her qualification group and 18th overall with her throw of 68.69m (225-04) at Beijing National Stadium.

2015 was a great year for Price, who was crowned the NCAA outdoor hammer throw champion, MVC hammer throw champion, and competed at the Pan Am Games. She will have one season left of eligibility.
