Matt Greenfield wins MVC Player of the Week

St. Louis--The Missouri Valley Conference has named SIU junior Matt Greenfield as the Golfer of the Week for his performance at last weekend's Arizona Intercollegiate.
In Southern Illinois's first tournament of the spring, Greenfield led the Salukis in scoring. The junior from Hassocks, England played consistently throughout the two-day tournament. He shot a 74 in the first round, 73 in the second and 75 in the third round to finish tied for 28th at nine strokes over par. Greenfield's score of one stroke under par on Sewailo Golf Club's par threes was the third best of any player at the Arizona Intercollegiate. Coach Justin Fetcho said it was Greenfield's best performance since joining the Salukis last summer.
This is Greenfield's first time being named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week.
