Three Salukis earn spots on NWL Postseason All-Star Team

Nick Hutchins, Connor Kopach and Greg Lambert were all named to the 2016 Northwoods League Postseason All-Star team, the league announced on Sunday.
NICK HUTCHINS
Nick Hutchins hit .315 with 14 doubles, seven home runs and 45 RBIs. Among catchers, Hutchins ranked third in the league in average, doubles, home runs and RBIs.
CONNOR KOPACH
Connor Kopach set a Northwoods League record with 47 stolen bases, surpassing Joey Bonadonna and Daniel Robertson's record of 45 from 10 years ago. Kopach is hitting .279 with 57 runs scored, which ranks second in the league. His 47 stolen bases are 14 more than anyone else in the league.Â

Greg Lambert has a league-leading 63 RBIs this summer, which ranks fifth in the 22-year history of the Northwoods League. He hit .332 with 18 doubles and eight home runs. He ranks among the 2016 league-leaders in average (5th), RBIs (1st), doubles (4th), and runs created (5th).

OTHER SALUKIS WRAP UP SUMMER
- Ryan Smith was named West Coast League Player of the Week in his final week of the summer. He went 10-for-21 with 10 runs, two doubles, two RBIs, nine walks and four stolen bases. On the summer, Smith led the WCL in on-base percentage (.448) and walks (35). He ranked second in doubles (11), runs (34) and hits (56), and third in batting with a .320 average.Â
- Smith's teammate in the WCL, Drew Curtis, ended his summer strong. Curtis hit in seven of the final eight games, including five multi-hit games in that stretch.Â
- Six Salukis hit at least .270 this summer, and three hit at least .315: Dyllin Mucha (.271), Connor Kopach (.279), Will Farmer (.299), Nick Hutchins (.315), Ryan Smith (.320) and Greg Lambert (.332).
