Inclement weather moves up start time of Bill Cornell Spring Classic

Discus to kick off meet tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
CARBONDALE, Ill. — With inclement weather in forecast for much of southern Illinois Saturday morning, the SIU track and field program has made several changes to the schedule of events for the 2017 Bill Cornell Spring Classic.
In an effort to insure all events are contested, the men's and women's discus will be contested on Friday, March 24 at 3:30 p.m. inside Lew Hartzog Track and Field Complex.
Saturday's start time has also been delayed and the order of events have shifted. The women's hammer throw and the men's shot put will now kick off field events at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, weather permitting. Running events are still slated to begin at 12:30 p.m.
