
Salukis set to compete at Braun Intercollegiate

The Saluki women's golf team travels to Evansville, Indiana to compete in the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate, SIU's last tournament of the 2018 fall season. The players traveling are junior Lili Klekner-Alt, junior Erica Kerr, sophomore Emilyee McGiles, sophomore Moyea Russell, and graduate Jackie Biggs. Senior Sun Jung will be competing as an individual.
The 13-team field will compete at the Oak Meadow Country Club, a par-72 course spanning 6,032 yards. The course is known for its tree-lined fairways, lakes, and tilted greens.Â
The Salukis are coming off a 4th place finish at the MVC Fall Preview. Lili Klekner-Alt, Erica Kerr, and Emilyee McGiles have had top-20 finishes in the previous two tournaments.Â
"I'm confident going into Evansville," SIU head coach Danielle Kaufman said. "The girls are excited and ready to play."
The 36-hole tournament will tee off Monday for round one at 10 a.m. The final round will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. Live scoring will not be available.
