Salukis take 2nd at Braun Intercollegiate

The Southern Illinois women's golf team finished Runner-up at the Evansville Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate, the last tournament of the fall season. The Salukis shot rounds of 317 and 318 to finish with a 36-hole total of 635 (+59) at Oak Meadow Country Club. IUPUI won the tournament by 5-strokes with a score of 630 (+54) in the 13-team field.
The Salukis had four golfers finish in the top-20. Sophomore Erica Kerr (+13) carded 80 on Tuesday to finished 7th overall. Junior Lili Klekner-Alt (+16) shot 81 and sophomore Emilyee McGiles (+16) carded 78 in the final round, both tied for 11th overall. Sophomore Moyea Russell (+17) shot a 36-hole total of 161 to finish tied for 17th.
Graduate Jackie Biggs shot rounds of 87 and 79 to finish tied for 37th. Sun Jung (+30) competed as an individual and finished tied for 59th place.
The Salukis return to play February 11, 2019 when they travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Battle at Boulder Creek.
