
Women's Golf set to compete at Bama Beach Bash beginning on Friday

The Saluki Women's Golf team will compete in the Bama Beach Bash hosted by both UAB and South Alabama, beginning  March 16 at the Gulf Shores Golf Course in Mobile, Alabama.
SIU's head coach, Alexis O'Brien, said the team will be using the practice rounds to become familiar with the course, since tthis is the first time the Dawgs have competed at the Bama Beach Bash.
Seven Salukis are traveling to Alabama. Senior Hanna Netisingha will lead the team in the No. Â 1 spot, followed by sophomore Erica Kerr who had her best performance as a Saluki at the GCU Invitational on Feb. 24. Â
Sophomore Lili Klekner-Alt and freshmen Emilyee McGiles and Moyea Russell will complete the lineup for the Dawgs. Â This is Russell's first tournament back since injury. Senior Alice Ho and junior Sun Jung will be competing as individuals. Â
The three-day Bama Beach Bash concludes on March 18. Â
