Women's Golf takes third place at Bama Beach Bash

The Southern Illinois women's golf team finished in third place on Sunday after the final round of the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Alabama — moving up one spot in the standings each day.
Host South Alabama (856) won the tournament by 35 strokes over second-place Georgia State (891), with the Salukis (915) 24 strokes behind GSU. SIU improved its team score each day with rounds of 312, 303 and 300.
SIU's Hanna Netisingha (+8) placed 10th overall on the leaderboard and was one of three Saluki golfers in the top 20. She was four-over par in today's final round.
Moyea Russell (+13) finished tied for 15th place, while Erica Kerr (+16) had the team's best round today with a two-over par 74 to move up to 18th place.
