Women's Golf in 5th place after Day One at Bama Beach Bash

The Southern Illinois women's golf team stands in fifth place out of 10 teams after one round Friday at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
SIU (+24) shot a team round of 312 today and is 26 strokes off the pace set by South Alabama (-2). The Salukis are within striking distance of third place, though, trailing West Florida (+18) by six strokes and UAB (+20) by four.
Hanna Netisingha (+3) leads the Salukis in scoring and is tied for 10th place overall out of 59 golfers. Close behind her is teammate Moyea Rusell (+5). Rounds two and three take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Gulf Shores Golf Club.
