The Saluki Women's Golf Team finished day one of the Jan Weaver Invitational in ninth place after two rounds of play.

The Dawgs finished with a two-round total of 614 (+38), putting the team five strokes behind eighth place Belmont University.Â
Â
Leading the Salukis was freshman Moyea Russell (+4). Russell ended the day tied for fifth with seven other players. Russell shot for even in the first round and four over par in the second.Â
Her combined score of 148, put her five strokes behind first place Emma Svensson from Central Arkansas.Â
Â
Junior Sun Jung (+8) ended the 36-hole day tied for 25th with a score of 152.Â
Â
The last round of the Jan Weaver Invitational will begin at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow due to expecting weather.Â
