- Trend setters? Since SIU started its current aggressive base-stealing style in 2017, the rest of the Missouri Valley Conference has followed SIU in being more aggressive on the bases.

- Nikola Vasic has reached in 47 of the last 49 games, with separate streaks of 27 and 17 consecutive games reached base. He was one of 31 players nationally to reach base in every game in the month of March.
- SIU has turned 42 double plays this season, which leads the league. The Salukis are on pace to lead the MVC in double plays for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
- Ryan Netemeyer leads the MVC in saves (9). His 37 career saves are an SIU record rank second all-time in MVC history.
- Netemeyer, who led the MVC last year with 15 saves, could become the first player since Marc Bluma (Wichita State, 1997-99) to lead the conference in saves in back-to-back seasons.
