CARBONDALE, Ill. — Single-game tickets for the 2018 Saluki Football season are on-sale today. Fans can purchase tickets on-line (SIUSalukis.com/tickets), by phone (877-SALUKIS) or in person at the athletic ticket office at SIU Arena. Prices start at $12.
The five-game home schedule begins on Sept. 15 with the River Rivalry game versus Southeast Missouri State. The Salukis and Redhawks will meet for the 86th time in a series that dates back to 1909 when the teams crossed the Mississippi River by boat to play each other. SEMO is coached by former SIU assistant Tom Matukewicz. Southern has won nine of the last 11 meetings between the teams.
The Salukis will celebrate Family Weekend on Sept. 29 when they host South Dakota. SIU is 2-2 all-time against the Coyotes, including a 2-0 mark at home. On Oct. 14, Southern welcomes Illinois State for Homecoming. SIU will introduce its 2018 Hall of Fame class during halftime.
Southern wraps up its home schedule with games against Western Illinois on Nov. 3 and South Dakota State on Nov. 10.
Pre-game festivities begin three hours before kickoff on Saluki Row, the official tailgate area for all home football games. Full, five-game season tickets are still on-sale starting at $50 each for a Family Five Pack. Fans can also select a three-game mini-plan for $55.
