Four members of Women's Golf team named WGCA All-American Scholars

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Hanna Netisingha, Alice Ho, Erica Kerr and Emilyee McGiles of the Southern Illinois women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Friday. They were among a total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers recognized by the association. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team is a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
A senior zoology major, Netisingha led the team with a 76.2 stroke average last season and posted a 3.75 GPA. Also a senior, Ho finished with a 77.8 stroke average and a 3.65 GPA in dietetics. Kerr (3.94 GPA) and McGiles (3.76 PGA) are both physical therapy majors and both played all 31 rounds for the Salukis last season.
