
Women’s Golf take 4th at Diane Thomason Invite

The Southern Illinois women's golf team finished 4th after the final round of the Diane Thomason Invite in Iowa City, Iowa on Sunday. The team shot rounds of 312, 311, and 321 at Finkbine Golf Course to finish with a 54-hole total of 944 (+80). Iowa (898) won the tournament by 22-strokes over second-place North Dakota State (920) in the 9-team field. Southern Illinois had three Salukis finish in the top-20.
The Dawgs had a solid performance from junior Erica Kerr (+17) who finished tied for 10th. Sophomore Moyea Russell (T16) hit the lone eagle of the tournament, finishing with a 54-hole total of 235 (+19). Emilyee McGiles (+20) tied for 18th, Jackie Biggs (+24) tied for 28th, and Lili Klekner-Alt (+31) finished tied for 42nd.
Rosemarie Bundy (+32) competed as an individual and shot rounds of 84, 84, 80 on the par-72 course to take 50th.
The Salukis return to Carbondale to prepare for the MVC Preview.
