Saluki Track and Field Announces 2019-20 Indoor Schedule

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois track and field program announced its upcoming 2019-20 indoor schedule today. The Salukis will kick off its indoor season with the annual Saluki Fast Start Invitational on Dec. 7 in Carbondale.
The schedule features five meets leading up to the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships, which will be held in Cedar Falls, Iowa beginning on Feb. 28.
After the season-opening Saluki Fast Start, the men and women will have a month to prepare for three meets over the course of January. The Jim Green Invite, hosted by the University of Kentucky, starts off the month on Jan. 10, followed by SIU's own Don DeNoon Invite on Jan. 24. The month finishes up with the Indiana Relays, hosted by the University of Indiana, on Jan. 31.
The Vanderbilt Music City Challenge on Feb. 14 serves as the last chance to put in work against a field of quality programs before the MVC Championships, where the Salukis will look to improve off of last year's third place finish for the women and fifth for the men.
The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Mar. 13-14.
