Megan Krolak Earns 2019 MVC Scholar-Athlete Team Honor

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Megan Krolak has been recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference as part of its 2019 MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, the league announced today.
Krolak earned her second career MVC Scholar-Athlete honor by finishing in the top-20 at the MVC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 2, while maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average as a sophomore or higher in both athletic or academic standing.
Krolak, a redshirt senior from Peru, Ill., is a kinesiology major and owns a 3.44 cumulative GPA. Krolak earned her spot on the honors list by placing 14th at the MVC Championship meet with a time of 18:47.32. Her top-15 finish marks only the third time a Saluki has finished in the top-15 since 2014 (Kristin Menghini, 2014; Krolak, 2018).
The Saluki men and women cross country teams are back in action on Nov. 15, as the team travels for the 2019 NCAA Midwest Regional, hosted by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.
