Jeremy Chinn, Javon Williams Jr. earn Stats FCS All-America honors

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The next round of All-America team honors was announced on Thursday with Stats FCS naming Southern Illinois safety Jeremy Chinn as a first-team selection, while running back Javon Williams Jr. was tabbed as a second-team pick. Williams Jr. is the first freshman in school history to earn All-American honors.
Chinn has already picked up All-America honors from the Associated Press and Hero Sports in his ever-growing trophy case. He is projected as a high draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and will attend the prestigious Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama in January. Williams Jr. led all Division I freshmen with 19 touchdowns, rushed for 1,038 yards and totaled 1,359 all-purpose yards. He finished third in the voting for the Jerry Rice Award that goes to the nation's top freshman.
