The first game: Armon Fletcher scored 34 points--the most by any player in the MVC this season--and led SIU to an 88-73 win in Carbondale. SIU's 88 points and 22 assists were the most for SIU in an MVC game since 2005 at Bradley (89 points and 24 assists).
SIU leads the all-time series 87-47.
SIU has won seven-straight games over Indiana State, which is now SIU's longest active winning streak over any MVC opponent. (SIU's nine-game winning streak over Missouri State was snapped earlier this year.)
The Sycamroes are led by Tyreke Key (17.3 ppg) and Jordan Barnes (15.5 ppg). That duo combined for 45 of the Sycamores' 73 points in Carbondale earlier this season.
