Salukis ready for Round 3 of Gator Invitational

The Salukis finish off the first two rounds of the Gator Invitational tied for 14^th place with Michigan, who is ranked in the Top 100 on GolfStat.com. The team is ten strokes away from being in the top ten.

Freshman Matthis Besard (+2) leads the team after having scored 142 for the first and second rounds. Besard is currently tied for 20^th place alongside nine other players. Senior Peyton Wilhoit (+4) follows close behind tied for 39^th place.

SIU Men's Golf is ready to face the tough competition tomorrow for round three. Round three of the Gator Invitational is tomorrow with tee times starting at 8 a.m. Vikar Jonasson is the first Saluki to tee off in the morning at 9:30 a.m. with the rest of the team following shortly after. The awards ceremony will begin after the completion of the third round. Live stats will be available via Golfstat.com.
