The Saluki women's golf team travels to Corpus Christii, Texas to compete in the Islanders Classic. The players traveling are sophomore Emilyee McGiles, graduate Jackie Biggs, junior Erica Kerr, junior Lili Klekner-Alt, and sophomore Moyea Russell. Senior Sun Jung will be competing as an individual.
The Salukis are coming off a 2nd place finish at the Battle at Boulder Creek where all six golfers finished in the top-20. Southern Illinois is currently 3rd overall in MVC Conference rankings.
The 11-team field will compete at the Corpus Christii Country Club, a par-72 course spanning 6,045 yards. There will be a shotgun start on Monday at 8:30 a.m. to begin the first round. The weather is forecast to be cloudy with a high of 70. The final round will begin on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available via GolfStat.
