At the end of day one of the Islander Classic, the Southern Illinois women's golf team is positioned in sixth place carding a 615 (+39) through two rounds. Sam Houston State (+26) and Houston Baptist (+26) lead the 14-team field tied for first. The host Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (+27), sits in second trailing by one-stroke.
The Salukis are third in par 5 and fourth in total pars. Emilyee McGiles (+5) has teed off the Spring 2020 season on a high note, currently tied for second. Freshman Ayanna Habeel (+6) is tied for seventh with a total of 150. Erica Kerr (+12) carded a 75 in the first round and is tied for 27th. Rosemarie Bundy (+17) and Lili Klekner-Alt (+20) concluded today's rounds carding a 161 and 164 and competing as an individual, Megan Breslin (+30) finished today with a total of 174.
