CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois returns home for a Saturday night matchup versus Evansville at Banterra Center in a game that will be televised on ESPN3 and Marquee Sports Network at 7 p.m.
The Salukis (12-13, 5-8) have won six of the last seven meetings versus the Purple Aces (6-17, 2-10), including a 54-52 win at Evansville on Dec. 1, 2021.
In the win at Evansville, Marcus Domask hit a fadeaway 12-footer with 0.6 seconds remaining for the win. In five career games versus versus the Purple Aces, Domask has scored 102 points (20.4 points per game), while shooting 52 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3-point.
SIU has held 23 of 25 opponents under 70 points. Only Missouri State (81) and Bradley (70) have reached 70 points against Southern. No opponent has reached that mark at the Banterra Center. SIU has held 14 opponents to 60 or fewer points.
