
Women's Basketball Faces Bradley Friday Night

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Southern Illinois University women's basketball team will face the Bradley Braves on Friday at 6:30 p.m. to start a two-game weekend road trip. The Salukis (15-7, 10-2) control their own destiny heading into the final stretch of the conference season; the only other two-loss team in conference play is Illinois State, who the Salukis will face on Sunday and have already beaten once this season.
The Salukis previously defeated Bradley 53-41 on Jan. 22 in Carbondale. The win snapped a three game Bradley winning streak in the series; Southern's previous win over the Braves came on Feb. 2, 2020 in Carbondale. The Salukis outscored Bradley 27-11 in the second half of the game. Abby Brockmeyer notched a double-double for the Salukis with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Makenzie Silvey (17pts) and Gabby Walker (14pts) also scored in double figures for Southern.
Brockmeyer Approaching 1,000 Rebounds
•Abby Brockmeyer currently sits at 993 career rebounds.
•Just two other players have reached the 1,000 rebound mark in SIU history: Sue Faber (1,014) and Dyana Pierre (1,218).
