Women’s Golf Finish T-14th at Islander Classic

The Southern Illinois women's golf team shot 321 (+37) in Tuesday's final round of play at the Islander Classic in San Antonio, Texas to finish with a total score of 948 (+96), tied for 14th place with Missouri Valley Conference foe Drake.
Junior Secilia Ho led the charge for the Salukis, carding 79 on the last day with four birdies to finish T-45th with a mark of 234 (+21). Graduate Rosemarie Bundy shot 237 (+24) over the two days to finish T-57th. Graduate Moyea Russell and freshman Kylee Vaughan both finished T-65th with a total score of 240 (+27). Freshman Morgan Gindler took 85th with a mark of 256 (+43). Junior Ayanna Habeel competed as an individual, carding 79 in the opening round, but had to withdraw.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Salukis return to Carbondale, Illinois and have a month to tuneup before the Bama Beach Bash, hosted by the University of South Alabama, on March 20-22, 2022.
