Alyssa Krause named Soccer Assistant Coach

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Alyssa Krause has joined the Southern Illinois University women's soccer staff as an assistant coach, head coach Craig Roberts announced Tuesday.
"I'm delighted to have Alyssa on board," said Roberts. "She is an experienced coach with excellent knowledge of the region, which will serve us very well in recruiting. Her leadership and organizational skills are excellent. Alyssa has a strong playing background along with an ability to coach and develop players. These qualities will help her serve as a strong role model and mentor for our SIU female athletes."
Krause comes to SIU after spending the last two season at Saint Xavier University as the head women's soccer coach. While there she earned her United States Soccer Federation C Coaching license.
"First, I would like to thank Craig for the opportunity to join the staff and be a part of the women's soccer program," said Krause. "I am excited to get started and be a part of the Saluki Athletics family."
Prior to Purdue University Fort Wayne, Krause spent the 2016 and 2017 campaigns at Taylor University as an assistant coach. In 2017, the Trojans reached No. 16 in the NAIA Top 25. It marked the highest ranking in program history. The Trojans had an NAIA best four CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. The team featured three First-Team All-Crossroads league players. The 2016 team won a program-best 14 matches and earned three All-Crossroads League awards.
In 2014, Krause graduated from Huntington University with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health. She later earned her master's degree in Applied Exercise Science from Concordia University in 2018.
