SIU Closes Out Diamante Intercollegiate Challenge

LITTLE ROCK, AR. — Southern Illinois is in the closing stretch of its fall season for Women's Golf and they wrapped up the final day of the three day Diamante Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon. Janie Samattiyadeekul led the Salukis and finished tied for 46th with a score of 220 (+4).
Kayla Sayyalinh was only three shots behind Samattiyadeekul, with her best round coming on Monday in the second round with a score of 73 (E), which was only two shots behind Samattiyadeekul's second round score of 71 (-1).
Sadie Zorrilla finished third on the Saluki team with a score of 224 (+8) with four birdies in the final round on Tuesday to lead all Salukis for birdies made on the day.
Allie Santos finished with a score of 235 and Secillia Ho wrapped up the team scoring for the Salukis with a score of 238.
Only one fall competition left for SIU and it will be from October 30th-31st at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational in Asheville, NC.
