Salukis Back At Charlotte West For Weekend Series With Bradley

Carbondale, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Salukis return home to Charlotte West Stadium this Friday for a three-game series with the Bradley Braves. The Salukis have played their last six games on the road but will play six of the next seven at Charlotte West Stadium where they remain a perfect 17-0.

Quick Hits

Despite dropping six in a row, Southern still has the second-highest batting average (.303), on-base percentage (.387), and slugging percentage (.458).
Going into the weekend te Salukis sit in fifth-place of the MVC at 10-7 in the conference.
Over the weekend at UNI, junior first basemen Sidney Jones hit her third home run of the season.
Anna Carder let the Salukis with a .333 average over the Salukis last four games with a pair of doubles. Carder is currently tied with Elizabeth Warwick with 13 doubles to lead the Salukis
Elizabeth Warwick, Emma Austin, Rylie Hamilton, Jackie Lis, and Aubree DePron all rank in the top-11 in the Valley in batting average.

Series Rundown

The Braves are currently 11-34 (3-15 MVC) after winning one out of three games against Valpo last weekend.
Bradley opened Valley play winning two out of three against Evansville but has yet to win a Valley series since.
With 60 doubles, Bradley has totaled the third most in the league while tallying 23 home runs which is just behind the Salukis for the fourth-most in the Valley.
The Salukis lead the overall series with a 68-34 record.
However Bradley swept the series last year prior to SIU winning five-straight before that.

The Salukis and Braves moved Friday's start time up to 3 PM due to the weather with the rest of the weekend scheduled as normal.
