CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Missouri State for the "Dual in the Dale" meet on Friday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m.
"We are very much looking forward to the Dual in the Dale versus Missouri State this weekend. When our two teams get together it always produces some great competition and brings out the best in both squads" head coach Geoff Hanson said.

Looking at Southern Illinois:
- The women's team earned its first win of the season on Tuesday with a dominant 230-60 victory over McKendree.
- The men's team is still looking for its first win after falling short to McKendree.
- The Salukis had 13 first-place finishes against the Bearcats.
Looking at Missouri State:
- The Missouri State women's team was voted to finish first in the preseason poll, while the men's team was picked to finish second.
- This will be the Bears' first meet of the season.
History:
- This will be the 28th meeting between the women's teams. Southern Illinois leads the series 14-13.
- For the men, this will be the 25th meeting, with Missouri State leading the series 15-9.
