TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Southern Illinois men's golf finished eighth out of 14 teams at the Seminole Intercollegiate Tuesday in Tallahassee. The Salukis shot a combined score of 896 (+32), 45 strokes behind tournament champion Ole Miss.
Dain Richie led the way as the team's top performer. Finishing the tournament tied for 14th out of 81 golfers and a score of 219 (+3). His best round came in round two where he shot 71 (-1).
Leon Heitz and Edouard Cereto tied for 45th with a score of 227 (+11).
Other notable performances came from Oliver Ulrich and Andrew Thornton. Ulrich shot a score of 228 (+12) while Thornton finished with a score of 229 (+13).
Hugo Archer was the Saluki's individual performer. He finished with a score of 232 (+16).

The Salukis will look to regroup over the next three weeks before they head to the Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate, set to begin Monday, April 1, in Pawleys Island, S.C.
