OWENS CROSSROADS, Ala. - Southern Illinois women's golf tied for 12th out of 16 teams at the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate Wednesday.
As a team, the Salukis finished with a score of 963 (+99), finishing 85 strokes behind the tournament champion Lipscomb University.
Head coach Cindy Bodmer shared her thoughts on the tournament.
"It was an interesting trip featuring two seniors, a junior, and two freshmen," Bodmer said. "Players took turns stepping up with good rounds, but not all at the same time."
Janie Samattiyadeekul was the Salukis top performer finishing with a total score of 233 (+17). She tied for 34th out of 83 golfers, and finished day three strong with a score of 75 (+3), her best round of the tournament.
Other individual scores:
"We continue to show progress but let one bad swing cost us too many shots," Bodmer said.
A full tournament breakdown can be accessed via the Results.

Southern Illinois will head back to Alabama, competing in the Bama Beach Bash at the Gulf Shores Golf Club Sunday, March 17.
