CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Women's Golf team will head to its second fall tournament in Murray, Ky. to compete in The Velvet Classic beginning Monday. The tournament will take place over two days, with 36 holes Monday, and 18 Tuesday.

The Salukis will send a five-women team and one individual golfer to compete in the Velvet Classic – Pihla Pennanen, Kayla Sayyalinh, Kylee Vaughan, Morgan Gindler, Calli Smith, and Amelia Zingler (Ind.)

Sayyalinh and Pennanen were the top performers last Monday and Tuesday at the Green Wave Invitational. Finishing the tournament tied for 16^th, both shot eight over par.

Monday's forecast calls for a high of 86 degrees and sunny with cloudy intervals. Tuesday's high is 86 degrees and sunny.
