Preview | Track and Field heads to Fighting Illini Challenge

CARBONDALE, Ill. -Â Southern Illinois track and field returns to action for its third indoor meet of the season. The Salukis will head to Champaign, Ill., And compete in the Fighting Illini Challenge Friday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m.
Southern Illinois will have a short turnaround when they head to Champaign. They last competed in the Indiana Invitational on Jan. 17-18. The Salukis will face tough competition, competing against seven schools, including host Illinois, Arkansas State, Eastern Illinois, Little Rock, Purdue, Western Ontario, and Wisconsin.
Day one will begin at 11 a.m. with the men's and women's combined events, field events at 1 p.m., and track events at 1:30 p.m.
Day two will start with the finale of the men's heptathlon at 11 a.m., and the field and track events will kick off at 1 p.m.
