Salukis Return Home for Sunday Matinee Versus UIC

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois soccer (8-2-2, 2-1-0) is back in Carbondale on Sunday, Oct. 5, when they host UIC (4-5-3, 0-1-2) at 1 p.m. It is also Legacy and Family Weekend for the Salukis, who will be honoring alumni prior to the game.

The Salukis suffered their first loss in conference play on Sunday when they fell to Illinois State, 2-0. Lily Murray made four saves in goal for the Salukis, and Dana Nadda did her best to get the offense in motion, putting three shots on goal.

Southern has yet to beat UIC in their shared history, with the Flames holding a 2-0-1 series advantage. When they met last season in Chicago, the two squads tied 0-0. Prior to that, the Flames won their first two matchups, both by a score of 1-0.
