Miller Named MVC Goalkeeper of the Week for Second Time

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Following SIU's 1-0 win over UIC on Sunday, goalkeeper Reagan Miller has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week.
The junior transfer made five stops in Sunday's contest, including a diving, highlight reel stop in the second half to help preserve the shutout and win. This was Miller's fifth shutout of the season, which is one shy of tying the single-season program record. In the MVC, Miller currently sits atop the leader board in goals-against-average (0.308), save percentage (0.905), and is tied for second in shutouts.
This is Miller's second time being named Goalkeeper of the Week this year, previously earning the title for the week of August 19. As a team, this is SIU's third weekly honor this season, with Dory Latenser being named Defensive Player of the Week on August 26.
Miller and Southern are back it on Friday, Oct. 10, with a 3 p.m. game at Murray State.
