Preview | Men's Golf kicks off 2025-26 season at Wildcat Invitational

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Men's Golf will begin its chase at the 2026 NCAA Regionals with a trip to Manhattan, Kan., for the Wildcat Invitational starting Monday.
The Salukis will send a team of five with one individual golfer: Anthony De Schutter, Ben Keil, Jaesung Na, Cy Norman and Blake Saffell. Michael Mikus will serve as the team's individual player.
Keil, Na, Saffell, and Mikus are playing their first rounds as Salukis. Keil will see his first collegiate action after redshirting the 2024-25 season.
Na transfers in from Northern Colorado, where he played 30 rounds in the 2024-25 season, leading the Bears with a 73.5 stroke average.
Saffell is a senior who comes most recently from Washburn University, where he carded a 72.64 stroke average while tallying 10 top-10 finishes last season.
A native of Costa Rica, Mikus is a true freshman who starred as an amateur, winning the 2024 Central American Junior Championship.
The tournament will take place at the Colbert Hills Golf Course, home to Kansas State. Follow the action with Live Scoring.
