Saluki Men’s Golf Opens Season at K-State Wildcat Invitational

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois men's golf opens its 2026-27 season Monday and Tuesday at the K-State Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas.
The two-day tournament will be played at Colbert Hills Golf Course, the home course of Kansas State. Southern Illinois returns to Manhattan after a strong showing at the Wildcat Invitational last season.
The Salukis begin the new campaign with a lineup that mixes returning experience and newcomers.
Southern Illinois' lineup will include:
Ulrich enters his senior season after competing throughout his career with the Salukis, while Norman returns for his redshirt-junior campaign. Petersen and Stilley will make their first appearances for Southern Illinois after joining the program as transfers, and Sanders is set to begin his collegiate career as a freshman.
The Wildcat Invitational marks the first of five tournaments on Southern Illinois' fall schedule.
