CARBONDALE, ILL. — Southern Illinois men's golf will close out its fall schedule at the Ka'anapali Classic by OUTRIGGER beginning Monday in Lahaina, Maui.
The tournament will be played at the Royal Ka'anapali Course at Ka'anapali Golf Club. The 54-hole event features 20 teams and will be played at the par-71, 6,700-yard course.
Southern Illinois enters its final event of the fall after competing at the Purdue Fall Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Salukis finished 11th as a team, with Emil Elkjaer Petersen leading SIU with a tied-for-20th finish at 3-over par.
Following the Purdue Fall Invitational, head coach Justin Fetcho said the team would use the time before its final fall tournament to continue improving.
"We have one event left this fall and we have some time to work and get ready to go," Fetcho said. "We have been doing a lot of good things but we've just been having too many unforced errors to cover them up. We will continue to look to learn and grow from it and become better."
The Salukis' lineup for the Ka'anapali Classic will include:
Oliver Ulrich
Michael Mikus
Emil Elkjaer Petersen
Jamen Sanders
River Stilley
Cy Norman and Francis Lockwood will also compete as individuals.
The field includes Hawai'i, Boise State, Clemson, Colorado, CSUN, East Tennessee State, Georgia, Gonzaga, Houston, Kansas, North Florida, Oklahoma, Purdue, Sacramento State, San Jose State, Southern Illinois, TCU, UConn, UC Irvine and Wyoming.
The event marks Southern Illinois' final competition of the fall portion of the 2026-27 season.
