2020-2021 (FRESHMAN)
MAC Swimmer-of-the-Week (3/17/21)... competed in eight events... top SIU time in the 1650-free (16:14.97)... placed seventh in 1650-free at MAC Championships... top-five SIU times in 1000-free and 200-IM... best meet was first place finish in 1000-free (9:54.67) in dual meet against Valparaiso on 3/12/21... eight top-five marks.
PRIOR TO SIU
Kinsler arrives in Carbondale by way of Hendersonville, Tenn., where he was a six-time state qualifier at Pope John Paul II High School. As a freshman, Kinsler qualified for the state meet in both the 200 and 500 yard free. As a senior, Kinsler advanced to state in four events (100 breast, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay) and earned All-Region second team honors after he placed ninth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 100 breast at the state meet. Kinsler swam club for Excel Aquatics and competed at several Southern Zone Open Water Championships, which included a third-place finish in the 3K relay at the U14 level.
