WHY I CHOSE SIU
“First, to be a founder of a Division I soccer program is nothing any of my teammates and friends will be able to do. Second, my grandfather’s first veterinary practice was Striegel Animal Hospital in Carbondale back in the 1960s. My grandmother’s first school nursing job was in Carbondale. My mom and uncle were born in Carbondale.”
