Ashley Allenstein joined the Saluki Athletic Training staff in the winter of 2020. She came to Carbondale by way of Athletico Physical Therapy, where she spent two years as an outreach athletic trainer at Waldorf University.
A certified athletic trainer, Allenstein holds certifications for CPR, First Aid, AED and blood born pathogens.
Allenstein earned her bachelor’s degree in movement and exercise science with an emphasis in sports psychology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2015. She earned her master’s degree from Texas State in 2017.
In addition to her time at Athletico, Allenstein served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Texas State, where she was the primary trainer for the Bobcats’ cheerleading squad.
