Suzanne Souders Wins MVC Swimmer Of The Week Award

St. Louis, Mo. - Southern Illinois University's Suzanne Souders was named the MVC Swimmer of the Week by the Missouri Valley Conference on Wednesday, October 30.

Souders, a sophomore, won her second Swimmer of the Week award this season after a third place finish in the 200 back (2:05.31) and fourth place finish in the 100 back (58.99) at the same meet. Both times lead the MVC this season. Souders competed against swimmers from Illinois, Missouri and Michigan State. She also won the award on October 2 and is a native of Belleville, Ill.

The SIU women will be back in the pool for a double dual meet against Louisiana-Monroe and Southern Methodist at the University of Louisiana-Monroe in Monroe, Louisiana on Saturday, November, 9.
