Men's Swimming & Diving Beats Drury College 123-120

Springfield, Mo. - Sophomore Devin Aikins won two events to lead the Southern Illinois University men's swimming and diving team to 123-120 win over Drury College on Saturday at Breech Pool in Springfield, Mo.
Aikins won the 1-Meter (297.98) and 3-Meter (299.63) diving events with career-best marks to lead the men. Derek Helvey and Marcelo Possato also picked up wins in the 200 free and 200 back respectively. The 400 medley relay team of Possato, Miguel King, Brent Menghini and Edoardo Daelli also picked up a victory.
SIU added second place finishes by Helvey (500 free), Daelli (100 and 200 free), Jason Sigler (1000 free), Jake Sinclair (1-Meter and 3-Meter dives), Menghini (200 fly), Danilo Luna (200 back), King (200 breast) and the 400 free relay.
The SIU men's swimming and diving team will compete next at the Northwestern Invite in Evanston Ill. Nov. 22-24 at Northwestern University.
