Andrea Johnson Wins Third Diver Of The Week Award

St. Louis, Mo. - Southern Illinois University sophomore Andrea Johnson was named the Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week for the second straight week and third time this season. The award was announced late on Tuesday, November 19.

Johnson, a sophomore from Elburn, Ill., won the 1-meter and 3-meter dives against Drury College. Her scores of 233.78 and 224.03, respectively, are the fourth-best in the Valley this year. Her wins were crucial to the Salukis' 130-107 team victory. Johnson also won the award on Oct. 2.

The SIU women will wrap up their fall semester competition at the Northwestern Invite on November 22-24 against Illinois and Northwestern. The event will be held at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
