Women's Swimming Faces Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday

Carbondale, Ill. - After an open week, the Southern Illinois University women's swimming and diving team will be in Monroe, Louisiana to face the University of Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, November 9 in a dual meet in the Lake C. Oxford Natatorium. The Lady Indians have only lost once (5-1) this season.

"They have some good individuals but they're not a real deep team. We match up pretty well with them. They are strong in the same events we are. It will be a good test for us and the races should be close. The 200 fly and 400 IM will be close races. I'm also looking for strong performances in the 500 free and the rest of the areas if we expect to win. We're looking forward to a good competition and hope to come back with a win," stated Jeff Goelz, women's swimming head coach.

The SIU/ULM dual meet will begin at 2 p.m.
