Hiller Named MVC Women's Golfer of the Week

Carbondale, Ill. - For the second time this season, senior Alison Hiller was named the Missouri Valley Conference's Golfer of the Week, announced earlier today by the league office.

Hiller fired a two-round score of 156 to lead SIU to its second Saluki Invitational title in four years. Hiller, who also clinched her second Saluki Invitational Individual Championship, shot rounds of 77 and 79 for the two-day event.

Competing on Sunday-Monday (3/24-25) at Hickory Ridge Golf Course against 11 other teams and 78 individual competitors, the native of Atlanta, Ga., earned the second straight individual crown for the Salukis and third in the team's last four years. Hiller also won the two-day event in 1999.

Hiller was also named MVC Golfer of the Week on October 31, 2001.
